Downtown Sculpture Walk

The City of Lee’s Summit thrives on our Arts, Culture, and Heritage. To help keep art accessible for our wonderful citizens and its visitors the city established an annual Sculpture Walk in 2020 and it is featured in our Historic Downtown area. Every year a jury of community members chooses a selection of seven artworks to showcase within public spaces. These artworks are meant to inspire, entertain, and educate while providing additional aesthetic elements to the public space.

The Downtown Sculpture Walk is an annual outdoor public art program featuring vibrant and unique three-dimensional artworks. Each spring brings new sculptures to Downtown Lee’s Summit area that have been created by acclaimed public artists from across the country and our region. Sculptures are displayed on loan to the City for one year.

Interested in purchasing a sculpture? All sculptures are available for purchase with 100% of the sale price going directly to the artist. Call the Cultural Arts Division at 816.969.1032 for more information on adding a unique work of art to your home or business.

The Downtown Sculpture Walk is made possible through a collaboration between the Cultural Arts Division and Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street. Artist stipends are generously supported through grant funding from the Downtown Community Improvement District.
