The Public Works Department is busy installing street lights that were approved in the 2007 and 2010 No-Tax Increase Bond Issue. Currently, improvements are being made on Persels, Ward, Woods Chapel, and Tudor Roads.

The updated Airport Layout Plan (ALP) was submitted to MoDOT and the FAA for approval on August 30, 2011. MoDOT reviewed the ALP and forwarded it to the FAA for their re-view.
Lee’s Summit Public Works is gearing up for winter weather. Snow removal equipment has been tested and drivers have been trained to provide Lee’s Summit citizens with safe roadways this winter.
