 Tudor Road Street Lighting

Street Lighting will be installed along Tudor Road from Douglas to M-291, funded by the 2007 Voter Approved No-Tax Increase Bond Issue, to improve traffic, pedestrian, and bicycle safety during nighttime conditions.  The lighting will match existing street lights along Scruggs Road, east of M-291.  The construction contract was awarded on October 20, 2011.

Woods Chapel Road Street Lighting

Street Lighting will be installed along Woods Chapel Road from Lee’s Summit Road to Independence Avenue, funded by the 2007 Voter Approved No-tax Increase Bond Issue, to improve traffic, pedestrian, and bicycle safety during nighttime conditions.  The lighting will match existing street lights along Woods Chapel Road east of Independence Avenue.  The construction contract was awarded on October 20, 2011.  

Persels Road and Ward Road Pedestrian and Street Lighting Improvements

Street Lighting and sidewalks will be installed along Persels Road from Ward Road to Jefferson Street, funded by the 2007 and 2010 Voter Approved No-Tax Increase Bond Issues.  The sidewalk will enhance pedestrian access along Persels Road and provide greater connectivity to the Pleasant Lea School Campus and Greenway Trail System along Ward Road.  The street lighting will improve traffic, pedestrian, and bicycle safety during nighttime conditions.  This project is currently in design with an anticipated construction start next spring/summer.
