Lee’s Summit, Mo. – On Friday, 11-12-2010 at approximately 11:40 am, officers responded to the area of Lee’s Summit Road and Douglas Street on an injury accident. Upon arrival, officers located a single vehicle, rollover accident. Initial reports indicate that a green mini-van was travelling north on Lee’s Summit Road when it left the roadway and rolled once. The driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining three occupants of the vehicle were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The name of the deceased is being withheld until notifications have been made.

The fatal crash on Lee’s Summit Road has been upgraded to a double fatality accident.
In addition to the driver of the van, the front seat passenger was transported to an area hospital where they were pronounced dead.
