At 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 23rd, police were dispatched to the Summit Fair Shopping Center on NW Blue Parkway, on the report of a robbery. The victim stated that while sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot a white male approached his window and demanded money after displaying a handgun. After obtaining a small amount of currency, the suspect then ran through the parking lot and entered the passenger side of a dark blue Nissan vehicle with an unknown license plate. The suspect is described as a white male, 6’2” tall, 250-260 pounds, wearing a blue and white striped shirt and pants. The suspect was described as having short, crew cut style hair with an unshaven appearance. No shots were fired during the incident and no injuries were reported. The LSPD Criminal Investigations Unit is currently handling the case and reviewing video from the surrounding business for any evidentiary value. At the time of this release no video is available.
