At 1:30 this afternoon (03-22-10) officers were dispatched to 1701 NE Douglas St, Culver’s Restaurant, on the report of a disturbance inside the business involving a stabbing. The incident involved an adult male and female sitting at a booth when they were approached by another adult male subject who immediately began assaulting the male in the booth. The subject who approached the booth had a small knife and used it to stab the male victim multiple times about the midsection during the altercation.
The male victim was transported to a metro area hospital with stab wounds but the extents of his injuries are unknown at the time of this release. The male subject with the knife was still on scene when officers arrived and was taken into custody without further incident. Identities of all involved are being withheld at this time pending further investigation. The incident was not a random occurrence and it is believed all parties involved in the altercation knew each other.
