Beginning September 16th, 2011, the Lee's Summit Police Department officially opened the position of Police Officer for applications.  The open application period will run from 9/16/2011 until 11/2/2011 at 5:00 p.m.

On Saturday, October 29th, 2011, the Lee’s Summit Police Department will be participating in a nationwide effort to recover and dispose of unwanted and expired prescription medications.

Saturday October 8, 2011 the police department will host the Lee’s Summit Safe City Celebration event sponsored by RED Development from 10 to 4 pm. at the Summit Fair shopping center in Lee’s Summit.
