Tuesday evening 03-16-10 the Lee’s Summit Police Department conducted a quarterly liquor control “sting” operation within the city. 

March 15th through March 31st the Lee’s Summit Police Department will step up traffic enforcement efforts before and after school in support of “Operation Safe Teen”. 

A LSPD detective is requesting assistance identifying a subject responsible for the theft of an electronic device captured on video surveillance.

Wednesday morning (03-10-10) officers were dispatched to 1101 NE Rice Road, Temp Stop convenience store, at 5:25 a.m. on the report of an armed robbery.

Arrested were 22 year old Jeffrey S. Lamping and 22 year old John D. Haun, both from Raytown. Each was charged with Burglary 1st Degree and Fleeing/Resisting Arrest. Their bond was set at $60,000 each and after arraignment both were turned over to the Jackson County detention center. 

In January, Operation Safe Highway 2010 was initiated in an effort to lower crash occurrences on US 50 Hwy through Lee’s Summit.

On Thursday (01-21-10) at 2:30 pm officers were dispatched to the 500 block of NW Ivy Place on a death investigation.

On Monday 02-01-10 at 2:30 pm the Jackson County Prosecutors Office held a press conference to announce the arrest of 27 year old Christopher L. Feitz of Lee’s Summit related to the death of his father Ronnie Feitz.
