Legacy Park Community Center Birthday Bash.
Saturday, January 14. 7am - 5pm
Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, will host Legacy Park Community Center’s 9th Annual Birthday Bash and Community Health Fair. The event is free and open to the public.
The Community Health Fair will be open from 9am – 12pm. New this year will be a Teddy Bear Check-Up Station. Encourage your children to bring in their favorite doll or animal for a full work-up to guarantee their good health for the new year. The fair also consists of health information and free health screenings from area hospitals and health focused businesses including Silverstein Eye Centers; Benchmark Healthcare of Lee's Summit; Xtreme Family Fitness; Know the Difference, LLC; Comforting Faith Counseling Services; Heater Chiropractic; Get in Shape for Women; Summit Gastroenterology; Highway 7 Chiropractic; Jefferson Healthcare; Lee's Summit Jazzercise.
LPCC's Birthday Bash will feature the facility being free to the public from 7am – 5pm. Guests can enjoy all the amenities in the facility plus take advantage of some special highlights including chair massages and a fitness expo. The schedule of events is listed below - watch for additions!
- 7am - 5pm: Open fitness center, track and racquetball
- 7:30am – 2pm: Free Aerobics Classes
- 9am – 5pm: Free Chair Massages
- 9am - 10am: Meet KC Wolf!
- 9am - 12pm: LPCC Fitness Expo (Gymnasium)
- 9am - 12pm: Community Health Fair & Teddy Bear Check-Up Station (Community Rooms)
- 10am - 5pm: Open swim
- 11:30am - 12:30pm: Meet Mac the Maverick's Mascot
- 12pm - 3pm: Face Painters, Balloon Artists & More

Father/Daughter Winter Ball.
Friday, Feb. 3 & Saturday, Feb. 4.
Every daddy’s girl will feel like a princess after this special event. Enjoy dinner, music, dancing and games. Keepsakes including a rose, goody bag and photo will be given to take home . A professional photographer will be on site to create a special memory. This event is for daughters 3-12 years old and fathers, stepfathers, and grandfathers of all ages! Locations: Choose from Gamber Center (Friday and Saturday) or Legacy Park Community Center. (Saturday only)
