Criteria for an event or program to be included in the LSAC Cultural Arts Calendar

1. The event/program must involve the arts. The Council defines the arts to include, but does not limit it to, performing arts, music, visual arts, multimedia arts, literary arts, arts and crafts, folk art, and historic architecture/sites
2. The event/program should be organized by an arts organization, college, or secondary school, or feature professional cultural arts professional(s), or demonstrate a cultural arts focus/benefit for the community
3. The event/program may include, but not limited to, cultural art events, performances, exhibitions, art classes, art education, art fundraisers, art group/club meetings
4. The event/program must take place in Lee’s Summit or feature a Lee’s Summit based cultural arts organization
5. The event/program must be open to the public
6. The event/program must follow equal opportunity and nondiscriminatory practices
7. Inclusion of event/program, and final text, is subject to the LSAC approval
