Mobile Paper Shredding Event
Residents and local businesses were invited to dispose of their sensitive documents in a secure and environmentally responsible way. Patrons were allowed to bring up to FOUR paper grocery bags of sensitive documents to the "Green on Green" Sustainability Fair from 9:00am to 11:00am. The documents were shred free of charge. Binders and plastic covers needed to be removed prior to arrival at the event, but staples and paper clips were allowed.
Athletic Shoe Drive
Patrons gave their old athletic shoes new life at the "Green on Green" Sustainabilty Fair! The Nike shoe company collected athletic shoes for recycling. Each part of the shoe gets recycled into other materials like playground equipment and cushioning for sports facilities.
Eco-Friendly Entertainment
Eco-friendly music from Kansas City's own EcoElvis and Lee's Summit's own Green Spirit Band was performed LIVE!
