The City of Lee's Summit works hard to not only improve City infrastructure, but also the environment around that infrastructure. As a result, the Public Works Department has organized a Stream Team to collect litter from the banks of local waterways. The goal is to combine the efforts of Public Works staff and residents to clean up the banks of a local waterway twice a year; once in the early Spring and again in the late Fall.
Our next event is scheduled for:
Date: TBD 2012
Location: TBD
The Stream Team meets at 10am to divide into groups and receive instructions, maps, and supplies (vests, gloves, bags, etc.). The groups meet back together by 11:30 for lunch.
Everyone is invited to help out; not just Public Works staff!
If you are interested in helping out, contact the Environmental Programs Coordinator or call 969-1800.
