Residential Curbside Recycling
Residents of Lee’s Summit may hire the curbside recycling hauler of their choice – monthly rates vary depending on the hauler chosen. All licensed residential trash haulers are required to offer curbside recycling to residents. Additional fees generally apply for curbside recycling services, which vary depending on the hauler chosen.
NOTE: the hauler must be licensed with the City of Lee’s Summit.

Acceptable Curbside Recycling Items
All licensed solid waste haulers are required to offer curbside recycling of the following items:
- Metal cans (aluminum and tin)
- Plastics, type 1 and 2
- Newspaper
In addition to the items above, all solid waste haulers are required to offer at least one of the following:
- Magazines
- Office paper
- Plastics, type 3 through 7
- Cardboard/Paperboard
- Glass containers
