Electronics Recycling Event

The City of Lee's Summit, in partnership with the Lee’s Summit High School's DECA Chapter and Surplus Exchange, typically hosts two Electronics Recycling Events per year - one in the Spring and one in the Fall. 
 

Our next event is scheduled for:


October 15, 2011;
9am - 1pm (SHARP!)

These events provide citizens and businesses the opportunity to dispose of their unused or obsolete computers, cell phones, televisions, and other electronic devices in a safe and convenient manner.

Please bring items UNPACKAGED and STAY IN YOUR VEHICLE.  On-site volunteers will unload your vehicle.

The following fees for the following items apply:

office copy machines
small appliances (mixer, blender, etc.)
large appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc.)
vacuums, fans, water heaters
paper shredders, hole punches
exercise equipment
CDs, DVDs, tapes (video or audio)
humidifier, dehumidifier
batteries, power cords, non-digital telephones


NOTE:  The recycling costs listed above include transportation to the demanufacturing facility and recycling.


VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED!

to help unload cars and direct traffic. In addition, community service hours are available for students who volunteer.  However, court-ordered community service hours will not be offered for this event.
