The City of Lee’s Summit’s Public Works Director Dena Mezger, PE, has been recognized with the distinguished honor of being named as one of the “2016 Top Ten Public Works Leaders of the Year” by the American Public Works Association (APWA). “Several public works colleagues that I admire and consider as mentors have received this award in the past and I am honored to join their ranks,” said Mezger.
According to the APWA, this coveted public works award is presented annually to 10 public works professionals exhibiting excellence in the field. Among those traits are expertise and personal dedication to improving the quality of life in their communities through the advancement of public works services and technology. All are qualities and skills exhibited by Dena Mezger say those who have worked with her over the years.
