Google Fiber Construction in Lee’s Summit

Residents can expect to see Google subcontractors working within the City’s right-of-way and utility easements. As is typical with underground utility work of this scale, digging could be required in your area. Residents should receive door hangars from Google Fiber prior to construction activity beginning in their neighborhood.

Lee’s Summit City Hall is among Facilities Closed on Monday, July 4

Lee’s Summit City Hall, 220 SE Green St., and Lee’s Summit Municipal Court, 10 NE Tudor Road, will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation’s (LSPR) main office located inside City Hall will be closed on July 4 and many of their facilities will either have reduced hours of operation or will be closed on Independence Day (Monday, July 4).

Community-wide Blood Drive: Mon., July 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The City of Lee’s Summit, in partnership with the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street, and the Community Blood Center, will host a community blood drive on Mon., July 25, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Howard Conference Room (second floor) of Lee’s Summit City Hall, 220 SE Green Street. Meet Local Artist Jim Ware at City Hall on July 21

The City of Lee’s Summit invites you to meet local artist Jim Ware on Thursday, July 21, from 5:30 - 7 p.m., in the lobby of City Hall, 220 SE Green St., Lee’s Summit. Find out more about the artist and enjoy some of his artwork on display in City Hall.  Light hors d’oeuvres and wine sampling is also available, wine is compliments of Snax Catering.

Celebrate Independence Day Safely!

As you celebrate Independence Day, please follow the City’s fireworks rules. Residents with a city permit may shoot approved fireworks on July 2nd and 3rd between the hours of 10 a.m. and 11 p.m., and on July 4th between the hours of 10 a.m. and midnight.
