Residents can stay up-to-date on community information by signing up for a FREE, new service offered at Nixle.com. Nixle is a new community information service provider built exclusively to provide secure, trustworthy, notifications by web, e-mail, and cell phone via text messages. 

By signing up, Lee’s Summit residents will receive information from the City with varying degrees of importance.  Information will be categorized as:  

  • Alerts – Police and Fire Public Safety Information (criminal activity, severe weather information, and road closures)
  • Non-emergency – (cancellations)

Residents can choose the information they would like to receive and how they want to receive it, either by text message, e-mail, or Web. Nixle technology sends the messages simultaneously to e-mails AND in a text message to cell phones. Residents can also choose to receive additional notices from locations other than where they live or work.
