The City’s snow removal crew has mounted equipment onto trucks in preparation for possible changes in the weather forecast from rain to snow this evening and overnight in Lee’s Summit.
According to Weather or Not, air temperatures are to remain at or slightly above freezing and road temperatures are to remain above freezing.
The City’s roads are not pretreated during rain events because the salt brine solution would be washed away. Weather conditions will be monitored throughout the evening and overnight and adjustments to the City’s snow removal operations will be made to effectively deal with changing weather conditions.
