City Withdraws RFP Regarding Solid Waste and Curbside Recycling Program

The Lee’s Summit City Council voted to withdraw the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for the Solid Waste and Curbside Recycling Program during the October 20th Lee’s Summit City Council meeting. As a result of this action, the City is not considering the single contractor solid waste program at this time.

The City Council’s decision removes the need for further consideration by the Jackson County Circuit Court. A temporary restraining order was issued by the court last week suspending the RFP process.

City Staff is awaiting further direction from the City Council regarding this matter.
